In 2025, Royal Steam King, was opened on Sussex Street through a new partnership between Pennie, Chas—a wine enthusiast and private equity investor, and Fiona- a corporate management expert. Together, they are committed to elevating the overall dining experience for their customers to new heights.

Booking Policy
A 10% surcharge applies on all public holidays.
Exquisiteness @ Royal Steam King – Casual Fine Dining
Bookings are essential.
A $100 per person prepayment is required to secure your reservation. This amount is nonrefundable and will be applied towards your final bill.
All reservations are allocated a 90–120 minute dining period. As our service concludes at 3:15pm and the restaurant closes promptly at this time, guests are advised to select their reservation time accordingly.
What happens if I am late for my booking?
If you are running late, please contact our reservations team prior to your booking time on (02) 9370 9988 or via email at booking@steamkingdining.com. We will do our best to accommodate you; however, your dining time may be affected.

As we do not reserve tables for walk-ins, seating is subject to availability. We recommend making a reservation in advance via phone or email on (02) 9370 9988 or at booking@steamkingdining.com.
Cancellation Policy
We kindly request a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellations, changes to guest numbers, or reservation date amendments.
Exquisiteness @ Royal Steam King – Casual Fine Dining
Cancellations made within 48 hours, reductions in guest numbers, or no-shows will incur a fee of $100 per person.
Signature @ Royal Steam King – Traditional Cantonese Cuisine
For groups of 8 or more, we require at least 48 hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee of $50 per person.
Credit card details are required to secure the booking. No charges will be processed at the time of reservation.
Dress Code
Smart casual attire is recommended.
We reserve the right to refuse entry if the dress standard is not considered appropriate
Allergies & Dietary Requirements
Guests are encouraged to review the menu and advise us of any dietary requirements in advance.
While we take care in the preparation of our dishes, Royal Steam King cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free dining environment due to the risk of cross-contact in our kitchen and ingredients.
Prepayment & Deposits
A deposit or full prepayment may be required for:
- Special events (e.g. New Year, Valentine’s Day,
- Mother’s Day, Christmas)
- Tasting / degustation menus
- Large group bookings
Details will be provided at the time of booking.
Guest Numbers & Group Reservations
Please ensure your reservation reflects the correct number of guests, including children and
infants. We may not be able to accommodate additional guests without prior notice.
For larger groups, a set menu may be required, and minimum spend may apply. Final guest numbers must be confirmed at least two days prior.
Private dining and reserved rooms are subject to a minimum spend requirement, which will be advised at the time of booking.
Corkage & Cake Policy
BYO wine may be permitted with a corkage fee.
No outside food or beverages are permitted.
External celebration cakes may be allowed and may incur a cakeage fee.
Please contact us in advance for approval.

We adhere to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) regulations and reserve the right to refuse service where necessary.
